Vienna State Opera
Inaugurated in 1869 by Emperor Franz Josef, the Vienna State Opera has continued to be the world’s most prolific opera. Attending a production here is the perfect experience to remember while embracing the moment since no production is performed more than once in a year, with the exception of Strauss’s Die Fledermaus (or The Bat). The Vienna Opera Ball also takes place every year on Thursday following Ash Wednesday. This stylish event dates back to 1814.
